I don't use to refer to the Oscars as a reference to anything, but in this case it's so obvious that Jacob Tremblay should have been nominated for Best Actor.Amelie's Journeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14196783118165912805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2927274601688828959.post-7348143541392581242016-03-06T11:56:52.266-03:002016-03-06T11:56:52.266-03:00Room was a special treat, I had it on my watchlist...Room was a special treat, I had it on my watchlist for a long time and it surely was worth the wait. Very delicate, as you point out, and that's what makes it a nice picture. I love how the story is told through the eyes of Jack, we get to know the world all over again because of his point of view. I also love how the story is well divided, first in Room, then out in the world. One of the scenes that I can recall fondly is when Jack releases himself from the rug, in the back of the truck, and suddenly can see that beautiful blue dome above him, and we see the sky reflected in his eyes, as the little boy tries to absorb in all that reality before him. From that point on, the story gets more and more intense and it's beautiful and heartbreaking and just my kind of flick :)

[ j ][ joe ]https://www.blogger.com/profile/17528042707758318530noreply@blogger.com
